FREE Webinar: How To Plan Your Rehearsal Dinner With Ease

Top 5 Ways To Start Planning Your Wedding Post COVID-19

#1. KEEP POSITIVE WITH AN OPEN MIND

The MOST important advice I can share especially during these times is to stay as positive as you can. I always tell my clients your health, your love’s health, and family’s health is most important right now and if you have that, then you can make any wedding date SPECIAL even if it’s a weekday wedding...like a Thursday!

IF YOU POSTPONED BECAUSE OF COVID

If you had to postpone your wedding due to COVID-19, then you might be searching for a new date maybe even in 2020.

One item I have to press is that if you want to stay within 2020, you have to be open about the wedding date. Most Fridays and Saturdays are going to be taken but on the flip side, you will save A LOT OF $$ by having a weekday wedding.

If you want to learn more about how to save with venues either in any time period, check out our online course!

#2. BE REALISTIC AND UNDERSTANDING

We all just went through this pandemic, physically, emotionally, and sadly financially. Understand that a lot of family and friends would love to be traveling but maybe not able to because of financial or other reasons.

Consider having zoom on during your wedding and maybe even ask your photo/video team if they offer that service to guests who are not able to attend the wedding.

ZOOM IS DEFINITELY THE FUTURE, SO IS MASKS AND HAND SANITIZER.

#3. DISCUSS YOUR NUMBERS

MOST IMPORTANT STEP FOR WEDDING PLANNING. IF THIS ISN’T DISCUSSED IN THE BEGINNING THEN YOU WILL HAVE A VERY HARD WEDDING PLANNING EXPERIENCE.

  1. KNOW YOUR PLAN A AND PLAN B GUEST LIST (BUDGET REASONS)
  2. KNOW YOUR BUDGET (SPEAK TO PARENTS?)
  3. KNOW YOUR ZIP CODES
  4. BE SURE TO BOOK VENUE FIRST **Do not book ANYTHING until you have your venue.

    INCLUDING YOUR WEDDING DRESS?

Why? Well you don’t want a princess ball gown dress to get completely ruined by your outdoor venue or you don’t want a cathedral veil ripping your hair out on your rooftop wedding.

#4 ALWAYS HIRE A DAY OF COORDINATOR

You’ve put so much work into this wedding day, the last thing you want to happen is someone to come up to you. I’ve been in this industry for years and I can honestly say, no matter how much time and organization you’ve put into the wedding planning, there is ALWAYS unforseen circumstances that occur, which is why it is ALWAYS important to hire a day of coordinator aka “DOC.”

And you got that right, I made a course of finding the perfect wedding planner/doc for you!
